‘The Wiz’ Is Coming Back to Broadway!

The classic Black folk adaptation of The Wizard of Oz is, once again, making its way down the yellow brick road to Broadway. That’s right, The Wiz will be in the Big Apple for the 2016-17 season, Variety reports. (Yay!) The Broadway revival will follow a live TV special that airs on NBC Thursday, Dec. 3.

Casting for both the stage play and the TV musical have yet to be announced, but I’m rooting for Fantasia or Ledisi as the new Dorothy. What do you all think?
