Three people have been left dead after a man accidentally struck a two-year-old boy with his van in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, at around 5:10 p.m. Sunday evening, 41-year-old Archie Brown Jr. fatally struck two-year-old Damani T. Terry with his van after the toddler unexpectedly dart into the street. Witnesses say Brown was visibly upset and immediately exited his vehicle to check on the toddler, who had reportedly been outside playing with a toy lawnmower.
Damani’ brother, 15-year-old Raheed T. Chiles, who had been attending a party with his younger brother, also rushed to the scene of the accident when a gunman opened fire, shooting Brown in the head, and wounding Chiles. Brown was pronounced dead at the scene, and Chiles later died during surgery at a nearby hospital.

Another man was inside the van with Brown at the time of the accident, but had not been injured in the shooting.
Brown’s father, Archie Brown Sr., was on site following the tragic crash Sunday evening.
“My son’s just been murdered,” the outreach preacher said during a phone call after learning news of his son’s death. “If I am a man of God and I believe in the Bible, nothing happens without a reason. What the reason is, I don’t know,” he told the Journal Sentinel.
Brown said his son was a father of four daughters, one of whom was just 6 months, and described him as an entrepreneur who brought, remodeled and rented out houses and other properties. Riles Riley, the half-brother of Archie Brown Jr., said Brown was also co-owner of a nightclub called Seven West.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect who pulled the trigger, offering a $25,000 reward for anyone with information leading to his arrest and conviction. In the meantime, let’s all say a prayer for all the families affected by this horror.
