Okay, so we all knew that Lauryn Hill was a super-dope beat-killa-fire-spitta, from her days with the Fugees. But when she dropped her debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, in the late ’90s–sheesh! Decades later and her first solo joint is considered a hip hop classic–hell, a musical classic period (the thing is being preserved in the Library of Congress for Heaven’s sake)!
My personal fav from the album? I’ll have to say “Ex-Factor,” but we all know “Doo Wop” was a mega-hit and how much everybody and their momma loved singing their hearts out “To Zion.” Now that you’ve had your little taste of nostalgia, it’s time to put on those thinking caps and dig way back in your memory tank.
Can you remember what year this timeless LP hit the streets without searching for the answer on the ‘net?
