Tyrese has been going pretty hard promoting his latest album, Black Rose, which dropped last Friday (July 10). Last week, he was riding the subways of NYC and walking the city’s sidewalks harassing homeless people for the sake of album sales. (Which was a tasteless call, might I add.) But this week, he took his indie promotional tour to a Big Apple bus stop.
The OG R&B crooner uploaded a video to his Facebook account of him singing on a New York bus, reenacting his classic Coca Cola commercial, which launched his career in 1994.
“Sometimes you just gotta take em back to where it ALL STARTED!!!!!! 20 years ago…. I took this ride and it changed my life forever – to God be ALL the Glory, ” he wrote.
In the clip, Mr. Gibson mentioned that he wouldn’t rest until Black Rose was “number one on Billboard R&B and the [Billboard] Top 200.”
Welp: a R&B/soul album hitting number 1 on Billboard 200…in pop-tart-fist-pumping 2015? Good luck with that one Poppa.
