Changing Lives One Bag At a Time: 9-Year-Old Creates ‘Kare’ Packages for Homeless Women in Her Hometown

Here’s proof that the youth can truly make an impact.

Not even a pre-teen, 9-year-old Khloe Thompson is already transforming her community with grassroots organization, Khloe Kares.

Inspired by the countless homeless citizens she frequently bypassed near her Southern California home,  the pint-sized do-gooder decided she wanted to do something to make a change. So, with the help of her grandmother, Khloe began sewing bags to cradle goods she’d pass out to the less fortunate women in her neighborhood.

Everyday necessities like soap, shampoo, deodorant and feminine hygiene products make their way into Khloe’s thoughtful care packages and, ’til this day, are hand-delivered to nearby women living on the streets.

And Khloe Kares is making a HUGE impact!

The altruistic adolescent and her family detail how touched and grateful these women are for receiving simple, yet necessary, things that many of us often take for granted. Hopefully, this will inspire us to be more grateful for our blessings in life, and even start a movement for more people to pay it forward.
